Paint a Pot with Montse

Paint a Terra Cotta Pot with Corner Copia Gardens own resident artist, Montse. This is a great activity for all ages. Various sizes available. $5.00/person plus the price of the pot.

Scarecrows in the Garden
October 14th - October 29th Scarecrow Display
Pumpkin Carving Contest - October 29th
4:00 pm
Participants will build their own creative scarecrow for display and viewing throughout the Corner Copia Gardens footprint. Visit the scarecrows during normal business hours or attend our after hours event on Thursday, October 26th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM for nighttime viewing (bring your own flashlights).
Rules for entry
Anyone can register including individuals, artists, families, community groups, and businesses. Each participant will be assigned an installation location prior to setup and will install their own scarecrow. There are no participant entry fees for the event this year.
Important Dates
Registration opens Monday, September 18th and ends Saturday, September 30th. Registration forms are available for pickup at Corner Copia Gardens as well as on our website at www.cornercopiagardens.com

Scarecrow installation is October 12th 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM and October 13th 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Scarecrow pickup is Monday, October 30th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Prizes
Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and will be announced at our First Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest on Sunday, October 29th at 5:00 PM.
First place $250 Corner Copia Gardens gift card
Second place $100 Corner Copia Gardens gift card
Third place $50 Corner Copia Gardens gift card
Guidelines
• Scarecrows must fit within a 10’ x 10’ space. They must be freestanding and cannot be secured to the ground, surrounding trees or buildings. No digging or stakes allowed.
• Participants will not be allowed to choose the location and it will be assigned prior to setup.
• Nursery staff will not be available to help unload or set up.
• Entries must be in good taste and suitable for viewing by children. Any entries not meeting this requirement will be removed.
• No electronic components are allowed.
• Entries must be durable and weatherproof. Any scarecrow that deteriorates to an unacceptable level will be removed prior to judging.
• A brief description, approximate size, and name of your scarecrow is required by October 11th. Corner Copia Gardens will provide signage identifying your organization and the name of your scarecrow. No additional signage is allowed.
• Corner Copia Gardens is not responsible for loss or damage. Do not include material you expect to returned.
• Adjustments or updates to your scarecrow after installation must receive prior approval from Corner Copia Gardens staff.
